·         HOW DID YOU GET STARTED IN RACING?  Started racing go karts at Cycleland speedway.  Quickly moved up the racing ladder from box stock to pro stock to 125cc and eventually the 500cc open class.  Began gaining attention when he earned the “Driver of the Year” award in 2002.  With the help of his Grandpa and Ryan Flynn he was able to run his first Gold Cup Race of Champions in 2005.  It was only his 2nd time in a sprint car and he won the preliminary C main!  Brett has always showed much driving skill in car and throttle control and is very good at adapting to new track surfaces.

·         RACING GOALS:  I would like to go as far as racing can take me and would love to race for a living someday!

·         DREAM TRACK TO RACE:  It has always been a dream of mine to race a track in Australia or Florida

·         PROUDEST ACHIEVEMENT:  Receiving "Rookie of the Year" awards at Silver Dollar Speedway, as well as in the Civil War Series and the Golden State King of California Series in my first 3 years of racing sprint cars.

 

CAREER HIGHLIGHTS:

·         1997 – 1999:   Started racing at the age of 8

·         1999 – 2000:   Raced in the box stock class at Cycleland Speedway, finishing 9th in points, and the Red Bluff Outlaw series, finishing 12th in points.  Accumulated a few main events and trophy dash victories.

·         2000 – 2001:   Moved up the 125cc division at the Red Bluff Outlaw winter series, continuing through the summer at Cycleland Speedway.

·         2001 – 2002:   Finished 3rd in points at Cycleland Speedway and Red Bluff in the 125cc division.

·         2002 – 2003:   Finished 3rd in points at Cycleland and 2nd in points at Red Bluff in the 125cc division.  He accumulated 5 fast times at Red Bluff and earned the “Driver of the Year” award.  This was the first time this award was ever awarded to a 125cc driver and he was also the youngest driver to ever earn it.  Brett also ran the QRC All Star tour visiting tracks in California, Oregon and Idado – finishing 10th in points for this series.

·         2003 – 2004:   Moved up to the 500cc class, finishing 3rd in points at Cycleland and Red Bluff.  He was able to earn an A main event as well as a trophy dash victory.

·         2004 – 2005:   Raced the 500cc open class finishing in the top 10 and Cycleland and top 5 at Red Bluff and the QRC All Star Tour.  He won an A main at the Knoxville Nationals and a trophy dash at the West Coast Nationals.  He also won the A main at the$1,000 showcase race at Cycleland.  This was the same week he competed in his first Gold Cup Race of Champions and won a C main!
